ELD 1 and 2!

Welcome to ELD 1 and 2! We are excited to have you join us for the 2026–2027 school year. This class is designed to provide you with the tools, strategies, knowledge, and support you need to become a more confident and successful student at RHS.

Throughout the year, we will work together to strengthen your English language skills, build academic vocabulary, develop effective communication strategies, and strengthen the reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills you need to be successful in all of your classes. We will also focus on developing strong academic habits, organization, time management, study skills, and confidence.

Our goal is to help you make meaningful progress in your English Learner (EL) journey while recognizing and celebrating the growth you make along the way. Every student brings unique experiences, strengths, and perspectives to our classroom, and we will use those strengths to help you reach your goals.

In ELD 1 and 2, you will be encouraged to take risks, ask questions, learn from mistakes, and challenge yourself. We will work as a team to create a classroom where you feel supported, respected, and motivated to grow.

We are excited about all that you will accomplish this year. With hard work, perseverance, and the right tools and habits, we know you can succeed. Let’s make the 2026–2027 school year a year of growth, learning, and success!
