About Me

Hello everyone!

I am Maria Soto (Teacher Soto, Miss Soto), one of the Education Specialists at Ripon High. This is my fourth year working in education, but my first year teaching full-time in the U.S.! (I previously taught English in South Korea at a middle school in Gangnam, Seoul.) When I am not in the Academic Support classroom, I am busy providing push-in support to students in their English / ELD classes!

I love learning about languages, reading, writing, and listening to new music. I grew up in Ripon and graduated from Ripon High School in 2020. I attended the University of California, Santa Cruz for my B.A. in Linguistics & Multilingualism and graduated in 2023. Currently, I am working on a Master's in Educational Inquiry through TCSJ. I look forward to teaching and learning with you!
