Provide individual counseling for students

Support students’ emotional, social, and behavioral well-being

Conduct mental health screenings and assessments as appropriate

Provide crisis intervention and short-term mental health support

Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and school staff

Consult with staff regarding student mental health and behavioral concerns

Assist in developing behavior and mental health intervention plans

Teach and reinforce coping skills and emotional regulation strategies

Promote social-emotional learning and a positive school climate

Participate in student support meetings (SST, IEP, 504, etc.)

Connect students and families with community mental health resources

Maintain documentation in accordance with confidentiality and ethical guidelines

Support school-wide and individual crisis response efforts
