Teacher Bio

I am a secondary science teacher with a passion for helping students understand the natural world through inquiry, evidence, and real-world applications. I teach both physics and chemistry, supporting students as they explore topics such as waves, electromagnetic radiation, matter, chemical reactions, and energy.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes student engagement, accessibility, and choice. I design lessons using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, providing multiple ways for students to access content and demonstrate their understanding. I believe all students can succeed when instruction is responsive to their individual strengths, needs, and backgrounds.

In my classroom, students are encouraged to ask questions, evaluate scientific claims, analyze data, and construct evidence-based explanations. I prioritize collaboration, scientific literacy, and critical thinking to prepare students for future academic and career pathways. My goal is to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident taking intellectual risks and developing a strong foundation in science.
