Welcome!

This is my fifth year teaching here at Ripon High! I teach psychology, AP American government and politics, and college-prep government and economics. I love educating others about the mind and how to be an active participant in our democracy. I am passionate about helping students develop critical thinking skills and better understand the systems that shape our society. I strive to create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respectful discussion, and active civic engagement, while preparing students for life beyond school.

 

I also love to travel! I have been to over 25 countries and my classroom is full of treasures I have obtained on these various adventures. Your students even have occasional opportunities to win souvenir prizes from places I've visited. Our world is full of historically fascinating people and places. I have a teacher Instagram page dedicated to highlighting what we are working on in the classroom, but I also post pictures related to my travels with educational historical background.
