Hello!

 

I am Mrs. Alta, formerly Ms. Shepherd, and I oversee students with the last names "G-O." As a high school counselor, I am dedicated to supporting students in their academic, social-emotional, and postsecondary success. I enjoy working closely with students, families, and staff to help with course planning, graduation requirements, college and career exploration, and navigating the challenges of high school. Building strong relationships is at the heart of my work, and I strive to create a supportive, welcoming space where all students feel valued, encouraged, and prepared for their next steps after high school.

 

At Ripon High School, I am in charge of local scholarships, coordinating the SAT, PSAT, and ASVAB tests and am the California Scholarship Federation (CSF) Club advisor. Students and families are always welcome to reach out to me by email or phone, and students may also submit a counselor request form to schedule an appointment to meet with me in person. I am happy to help students every step of the way as they navigate their high school journey.
