Spring Final Project - Part 3: Treatment and Rehabilitation Plan

You will design a step-by-step treatment and rehabilitation plan for your athlete’s injury. Your plan should reflect real-world sports medicine protocols and logical recovery progression. 

Example For Shohei Ohtani UCL Injury: 
First 7 days: Rest and immobilization + Pain management with NSAIDs.
2 weeks: Begin physical therapy, focusing on a range of motion exercises + Gradual strengthening of surrounding muscles.
1 month: Introduce light resistance exercises + Start non-throwing activities like cardio.
2 - 4 months: Progressive throwing program to rebuild pitching mechanics + Focus on preventing future injuries through biomechanical adjustments and workload management.
