The purpose of Chess Club is to bring chess playing opportunities to the student body ofRipon High and to teach them how to play chess, if they do not already, in an all inclusive atmosphere.

The purpose of the club is to allow students the opportunity to learn to code. Students will learn how to work, learn and invent together through coding. Members will learn the concept of loops, variables, conditionals, and functions that form the basis of all programming languages. One of the objectives of this club is to build interest in coding and requires no prior coding experience.
The purpose and means of accomplishment is a club for everyone to come together, get involved and share a love toward something with others. The students will have fun and take their worries away for a while.
The purpose of this club is to increase overall awareness as well as knowledge of arthropods and their similar relatives. By raising awareness and building knowledge about these fascinating creatures, we can improve the lives of people in general. One of our goals will be to increase people’s knowledge of these critters, and thus, decrease the fear and stigma that is ever-revolving around arthropods. This club will also build a general database of the countless species of invertebrates prevalent to our area.

The purpose of the Gay-Straight Alliance club is to unite LGBTQ+ and allies of the youth to build community and organize issues impacting both Ripon High School and the community itself. GSA is a safe space for every student of Ripon High School and is a factor in deep social issues such as race, gender, and educational justice.

The Smoke Signal provides an open forum for the opinions of the Ripon High School student body, The Smoke Signal staff, the faculty, the school and district administration, and people in the community. The purpose of the forum is to encourage the exchange of ideas and opinions on issues of importance and significance to the readers. Student staff members are responsible for the final decisions regarding all newspaper content. Student staff members
determine the content of the newspaper and all unsigned editorials; therefore, material may not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of Ripon High School
